Environmental Commitments

Consideration for the environment is a core concern at Walsh. Our dedication to reducing our environmental impact extends beyond the unique capabilities we can offer on our projects, and into everyday office practice.

We are proud to be certified to ISO 14001, and of our work with the UK Green Building Council, through which we have developed practical guidance for clients on how to address embodied CO₂ on their projects.

People are central to what Walsh views as our duty to the environment – reducing our environmental impact benefits us all, but our keen focus on improving workplace and employee conditions helps us to deliver quality for our clients, satisfaction for our employees, and continuously improving environmental performance. Our dedicated in-house environmental team comprises staff from all levels of the company and works hard to see that our pledges are not only met, but exceeded. To see these pledges, you can view the Walsh company policy here.

Also, we have signed up to the IStructE Commitment to “strengthening our working practices to create structural engineering outcomes that have more positive impact on the world around us” at https://structuralengineersdeclare.com/ along with a growing number of engineering practices.

Quality Commitments

At Walsh we strive to provide our clients with design services which not only satisfy the brief, but exceed their expectations. We are committed to continuous improvement and have an established Quality Management System in place which provides a framework for measuring and improving our performance. We are certificated by the UKAS accredited body NQA Global.
