Continual Professional Development

We believe in supporting and reinforcing the expertise of our staff every step of the way. In order to achieve high levels of engineering and technical excellence we are pleased to offer Continual Professional Development (CPD).

We have a full calendar of CPD seminars, presented by both internal and external experts from the construction industry. We also encourage employees to go on external training courses to top up their knowledge. This is very much encouraged, as we want our employees to be the best at what they do.

Development for Graduates

We have always actively sought to employ young, fresh talent, and develop their passion and potential in a way that’s beneficial for both the business, and the individual. When graduates join Walsh, they are enrolled into our ‘Professional Development Scheme’ and assigned a mentor. Our aim is to help them build their future here based on a sound foundation of knowledge and enable them to meet tomorrow’s challenges. Walsh are also an accredited member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and offer professional development tailored to both ICE and IStructE.

Opportunities for All

Every employee at Walsh is given the opportunity to develop their skills and industry knowledge at any point and we encourage all staff to pursue specialist qualifications. In order to help our staff maintain their technical excellence, regular internal seminars are held to inform staff of changes to technology within the industry and support them to offer clients the most up-to-date solutions.
