Meet the Walsh team

Eric Li

Eric’s career spans more than 18 years and encompasses structural engineering for a wide range of projects. Before joining Walsh, Eric spent three months in America and two years in the Middle East, gaining interesting overseas experience, including working on high profile projects such as airport terminals and honing his design skills in steel work. As an Associate Director, Eric is responsible for the day-to-day running of projects and is well practised at liaising with clients, architects, construction teams and any other teams involved. He is also involved in acquiring BIM level 2 accreditation for the company.

Eric holds the Secretary position at the Institution of Structural Engineer’s South Eastern Regional Group.

Eric is an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual. His professional and hard working nature help him achieve solutions to challenges in a straightforward and well thought out manner. He is also very hands on and opts for face-to-face meetings and discussions, as a more approachable way to develop plans and resolve issues. Eric has built many good relationships with existing and potential new clients, meaning he will no doubt be engaged in many fruitful projects for years to come.

“For me, engineering is about improving the world by designing better structures. When I see the end product that can be touched and experienced, I feel a great sense of achievement and pride.”
