Infrastructure
Infrastructure spending is increasing as the government recognises the importance that it plays in the growth of the country. At Walsh we also recognise the importance of infrastructure to our clients. When developing inner city brownfield sites it is now rare for there not to be some form of infrastructure requirements, be it an upgrade or a diversion, and Walsh have in-house design expertise to deliver the technical solutions.
Walsh have a proven track record of evaluating the impact of infrastructure requirements and delivering the necessary works. Examples include a major 7m deep sewer realignment for the Tesco Woolwich projects and a 1.8m diameter tunnel in Docklands which facilitated development on the Indescon and Lanterns Court projects. On both these schemes we were able to significantly reduce the normal lead in for this type of project by taking the design away from the statutory undertaker (in this case Thames Water) and carrying out the design in-house.
Walsh deliver infrastructure projects through our in house civil engineering team who have all the technical capability required to advise and deliver these often complicated projects. We also adopt 3D BIM compliant modelling techniques to see that the works are coordinated with all other elements of the works.
